Laboratory Technician (Chemistry) | Rouyn-Noranda

H2Lab is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician in Chemistry for its branch located in Rouyn-Noranda. Reporting to the Chemistry Laboratory Manager, the selected candidate will perform tasks related to standardized analyses. 

Role Definition 

Analyze received environmental samples, prepare solutions, operate and maintain laboratory instruments. The technician will also perform quality control checks in accordance with standardized protocols. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Apply analytical techniques and record results 

• Maintain all quality control parameters 

• Perform equipment maintenance 

• Comply with company health and safety regulations 

• Enter results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) 

Minimum Education  

• Education in a discipline related to analytical laboratory activities (DEC or AEC) – Mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline related to analytical laboratory activities (chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc.)

Minimum Experience 

• One (1) year of laboratory experience (Preferred) 

• Experience with analytical instruments such as ICP-MS or GC-MS (Asset) 

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency with laboratory equipment 

• Autonomy 

• Planning and organizational skills 

Language Skills 

• French: Mandatory (spoken and written)

Position Details 

• Full-time, permanent
